Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation lasting approximately 60–75 minutes. This visit is designed to help us gain a clear understanding of your concerns, history, and goals so we can create a personalized treatment plan together.
During this session, we will:
- Discuss your current symptoms and concerns
- Review your mental health history
- Explore medical history and current medications
- Talk about sleep, stress, relationships, work/school, and lifestyle factors
- Review any past therapy or psychiatric treatment
- Identify your goals for care
You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and share what’s important to you. This is a collaborative conversation—not an interrogation.
At the end of the visit, we will:
- Discuss diagnostic impressions (if appropriate)
- Review treatment options, which may include medication, therapy, lifestyle strategies, or a combination
- Create a clear plan for next steps
- Schedule follow-up care as needed
My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and clear about what comes next.
