Evaluation And Assessment

  • Comprehensive, initial evaluation to assess client’s mental health history, presenting symptoms, and overall psychological well-being.
  • Risk assessments (suicidality, self-harm, etc.).
  • The evaluation includes a detailed interview, review of medical and psychiatric history, family history, social history, and any past treatments or medications.
  • Review of current medications and treatment plans.
  • Standardized assessment tools and diagnostic criteria are utilized to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Initial treatment recommendations (e.g., medications, therapy options).
  • Following the assessment, a personalized treatment plan is developed in collaboration with the client.

Prescribing & Medication Management

  • Prescribing psychiatric medications (e.g., antidepressants, mood stabilizers, anti-anxiety medications, antipsychotics).
  • Ongoing management of psychiatric medications, including prescriptions, dose adjustments, and monitoring for side effects.
  • Regular follow-up sessions (typically every 4–6 weeks, or as needed) to discuss medication adherence, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Educational support about medications and their effects.
  • Coordination with the client’s primary care provider or other healthcare professionals for a holistic approach to treatment.


Psychoeducation and Mental Health Coaching

  • Mental health education on specific conditions and their management.
  • Providing resources for self-help and mental wellness.
  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustments to the plan

Stress Management and Wellness Coaching

  • Offering strategies and coaching for individuals dealing with chronic stress, burnout, or general mental wellness challenges.
  • Techniques may include mindfulness, deep-breathing exercises, relaxation strategies, and time management.
  • Empowering individuals with the tools to cope with life’s challenges, enhance mental resilience, and improve overall quality of life.

Cash Pay/Self-Pay Pricing and Insurance

  • Description: Patients pay out of pocket for services at the time of their appointment.
  • Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (90 minutes): $140.00
  • Follow-Up Appointments (30 minutes): $70.00
  • Letters and Paperwork - Must be a client for at least 6 months for paperwork completion: (60 min): $100
  • Insurance: We accept select insurance plans. Please verify your coverage prior to your first visit.

POLICIES

Teleheath

  • Technology: Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
  • Location: You must be physically located in a licensed state of the provider at the time of your telehealth session.
  • Safety: You must be in a private, safe, and distraction-free environment during your appointment.
  • Privacy: Your privacy is protected in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.


New Patients

  • We serve adults ages 18 and older.
  • A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation is conducted during the first visit to determine the best individualized treatment plan.
  • Valid photo ID and insurance information (if applicable) are required before the first appointment.
  • Intake forms in Tebra must be completed prior to the initial visit.

Fees & Insurance

  • Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, debit, and HSA/FSA cards.
  • We accept select insurance plans. Please verify your coverage prior to your first visit.
  • We offer competitive self-pay rates for those without insurance.


Appointment Cancellation & No-Show Policy

  • Late Cancellation/No-Show Fee:
    $50, not covered by insurance. This must be paid before your next appointment.
  • No-Shows: A no-show includes: Missing your appointment without notice; and Arriving more than 15 minutes late to an appointment.
  • Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice by phone or secure message to cancel or reschedule.
  • Late Cancellations: Any changes made less than 24 hours before your appointment are considered late and subject to a fee.
  • Repeated Missed Appointments:
    Three (3) or more no-shows or late cancellations within 6 months may lead to discontinuation of services and a referral to another provider.

Communication

  • Phone Calls: Brief phone check-ins (under 10 minutes) may be available between sessions. Extended calls may require a scheduled appointment.
  • Non-urgent questions may be sent via the patient portal or text and will be answered within 48 business hours.

Crisis & Emergency Policy

  • Calming Reflections Psychiatry is not a crisis center.
  • If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
  • You can also call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for immediate support.
